Airbus stretches its delivery lead over Boeing as July output slows
Boeing delivered 53 aircraft in July, well behind Airbus's 67, extending Airbus's lead to 418 deliveries against Boeing's 367 through the first seven months of 2026. The slowdown follows two stronger months — 60 deliveries in May and 64 in June — that had briefly put Boeing on pace for its best half-year performance since 2018. July recipients included new 787-9s for Air India, Lufthansa, Korean Air and United, while Boeing also logged 38 new orders at the Farnborough Airshow from customers including AerCap, Luxair and Uganda National Airlines.
